Messages
Use the Messages page to:- Ask project questions and clarify requirements.
- Send notes or files to the team during production.
- Reply to project updates and share revision feedback.
- Keep communication tied to the correct project instead of scattering conversations across email.
Starting a new conversation
- On the Messages page, click Start New Chat to open the New Chat modal.
- Search for a contact by typing their name in the search bar. Select the contact to open or create a new thread.
- The conversation view opens with the thread title at the top. If a thread doesn’t exist yet, it will be created automatically.
- Compose your opening message and press Send.
Sending messages and attachments
- In the message composer at the bottom of the conversation, type your message in the text area. Press Enter to send, or Shift+Enter to add a new line.
- To add attachments, click the paperclip icon or choose Attach File. You can attach image, PDF, or video files.
- Use the toolbar to insert emojis, add bold formatting, or mention a teammate using @ followed by their name. Selecting a mention from the picker automatically inserts it into your message.
- When ready, click Send. Attachments will be uploaded automatically and appear in the message history.
Viewing and navigating conversations
- The left sidebar shows your conversation list. Use the search bar at the top to filter threads by keyword.
- Click a conversation to load it in the main view. Messages are grouped by day with a date label.
- The conversation header shows the thread title, participants, and an icon to open attachments.
- At the bottom of the conversation view, a footer displays the number of participants and attachments in the thread.
- Click an attachment inside the message history to open or download it.
Requesting revisions
When requesting changes, be specific. A helpful revision note includes:- What needs to change
- Where the issue appears
- What the correct version should look like
- Any reference files or examples that help explain the change
